Mit ‘Hurricanes’ getaggte Beiträge

Obviously climate change pushes extraordinary Hurricanes notoriously wrecking normal houses. There should be a consequence in rebuilding homes in the regions affected, like the Caribbeans and Pacific Islands. The shape of a pyramid seems to be the propper solution. Where the roofs of “normal” houses allows the storm to get a grip on them, the pyramid shape would rather have the storm press the house to the ground. Windows should be easily covered by movable plates. It all should be checked by physicists in a wind channel!

It shouldn´t be built like this pyramid with many weak points (it´s not just the shape, but also the materials):

This one isn´t dwelling too much on the shape:

Climate change is stepping up, creating more terrible storms. And it seems not to be the end of the story. Maybe be have to remember the old proverb: man fears time and time fears the pyramids! Well, those impressive stone monuments were almost massive buildings, only housing dead rulers with their belongings and cultural elements. It´s possible that houses must be build following the shape of the pyramid to withstand the power of extraordinary storms. Surely the materials must be fitting to the challenge. But the shape counts as well! Sad that those in the „Global South´s“ countries mostly affected by the change caused by the highly industrialized nations will find it difficult to finance such changes in building sonstruction!
